Tuina Massage / Acupressure in Zurich

Tuina massage or “Tui-Na An Mo” is one of the oldest healing methods of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It removes blockages in the energy flow of the body and strengthens the immune system.

Behind this is the concept that the human body is permeated by meridians. Qi, the life energy, flows through these. During the treatment, the flow of Qi as well as the blood circulation are stimulated by different grip techniques.

The word ‘tui’ in Chinese means ‘to push’, while the syllable ‘na’ describes a grasping and pulling movement. The full name of the massage is Tuina Anmo, where Anmo stands for two other grasping techniques, stroking and pushing. In a Tuina massage, these methods are combined and supplemented by others:

1. pressing acupuncture/acupressure points.
2. stroking along the body meridians and muscles
3. rolling, pushing or rubbing movements
4. rhythmic tapping with the edge of the hand
